Despite the rough seas and the unfavorable conditions, Malta-based
foundation, Migrant Offshore Aid Station managed to safely rescue 146
African migrants from an overcrowded rubber boat.
Among them were 16 women, two of whom are pregnant, a child, and 27 unaccompanied minors. Most of the people rescued were coming from Nigeria and other West African countries.
