Photo: Nigerian man on trial for trying to smuggle drugs hidden in wooden statue into UAE

A 26-year-old Nigerian national is on trial for trying to smuggle drugs into the United Arab Emirates.
According to local Arabic daily Al-Ittihad, customs official at Dubai International Airport screened a parcel addressed to the Nigerian man and discovered 223gms of heroin hidden inside a wooden statue.(pictured)
